Military ID

Last Friday I took a half day and went to Buckley Air Force Base. I had received the paperwork to get my military id and insurance from Chris. When I got there I signed in at the visitor's station... I guess I wasn't really paying attention because I started seeing people who came in after me going up to the counter. So I re-signed in. This time I was listening and heard my name. The guy that called me up said that he had tried to pronounce my name a couple of times earlier. LOL. Then, while he processed my information to get on the base I sat back down. Two army guys came in and sat down by me. I turned to them and asked them about the tear gas chamber. They were really nice and told me not to worry. "He will only have to do it once and it will sting a bit, but it will clear your sinuses." They asked me about what job Chris would be going for and said it was a cool job.
Later after getting on the base I had to go take my id picture. There I had to sign in on a computer and didn't know whether to put civilian or dependant. I was glad when the guy behind me was nice enough to know that I needed help and asked, "are you married to someone in boot camp?" YES! He helped me fill out the rest of the info.
It is so nice to see that there are nice, helpful people out there still. I got my base stickers for my car, my id and all of my insurance in place, thanks to the help of kind people.
