2am...

So, it is 2am and I am awake. According to my doctor this is normal for this stage of pregnancy. :( I want to be asleep right now, because I know I will be tired in the morning. When I asked my doctor about not being able to sleep she said, "try reading or taking a bath." Hmm... Welp, I really like reading and that doesn't make me tired (especially since I'm in the middle of a good book). And I don't think she understands that it isn't very relaxing to take a bath when the tub isn't really shaped for lying back in. You know the type... straight up and down sides. I would also say it is too small to lay in, but since I'm short that isn't a problem. Ha ha, tall people, I win that one. :P
But you know some good has come of this not sleeping thing... I am able to post something new here and fairly soon after my last post. Yay!
One thing I am really grateful for is the fact that Chris can sleep. I would hate to keep him up with me since he has to work in the morning. I guess that is two things I am grateful for... I don't have to work in the morning!!! Okay, I'm going to try and sleep again. Sweet dreams world.

I want to know

I'm so excited! I just scheduled my ultrasound appointment. Feb 25th! I really hope the baby cooperates and we can find out the sex. I WANT TO KNOW!!!!! I don't want to do the green and yellow thing. I want to be able to do pink or blue. Also, I think most of the time the yellows look girly and the greens... well most of the time they are girly too, unless you can find darker greens or greens with trucks or sports on them.
I went to the store with a friend the other day shopping for a friend that is having twins (a boy and a girl) and saw the most adorable outfit for a girl and didn't buy it, because I want it for if I have a girl. Sad I know. There were also some very handsome looking church clothes for a baby boy.
I have to drink a bunch of water before the ultrasound and then I'm not allowed to go to the bathroom for at least an hour before. I really hope they are able to tell easily so they don't have to push too much on my bladder, BUT if they can't tell right away... push away! I want to know!

July 2008

I know what you are thinking... It has been forever since I've posted anything on here. And it has. I have no excuse. So here's what's new.
Chris and I are now at our first official Army Post. Yay! I am loving it down here. The ward we are in now is fantastic. We aren't the youngest and not the oldest. Our apartment is HUGE! It has a cool set up and we have been able to upgrade our couch and tv. Watching Heroes on a 37" is so much better than on the 20". Our cats adjusted really well to the new place and love to run around and enjoy having a room of their own.
The cat room won't last for a long time since in July 2008 we will be bringing home a wonderful new baby! I am so excite! Morning sickness lasts more than just the morning, but hasn't been too overwhelming. Chris has been totally wonderful and sweet. My parents are through the roof. I don't think I've ever really seen Bruce so excited. He said he might even babysit for the baby. My mom couldn't wait to tell everyone, but she doesn't want to be called "grandma", so we have been trying to figure out alternatives. She likes "g-ma." I'm not such a big fan.
So that's what's new. :)
